free XM subscription in 2007 is only for 3 months?
When i purchased my car this year I was told by the dealership that I would have the XM subscription for 1 year. Three months later it went kaput even though I was assured by the salesperson that it was an erroneous mail from XM that notified me about the impending service interruption. Anybody with similar experience?

This is actually an Acura fuck up. The window stickers stated 1yr free XM (for a while, they eventually corrected it). If you got a 07 RL, you would also have received a "advanced technology tour" dvd. If you watch it, it will tell you that you get 1 year free of XM and it also makes mention of Onstar services (which is no longer available).
Acura actually sent out a bulletin telling dealers to not give the DVD out anymore and they will be sending a new updated version.

Infiniti is giving you 3 YEARS of XM with their QX56. Not bad.
I am considering the QX because it can be had with Adaptive Cruise, keyless start, etc. Of course, I hate Nissan, the Infiniti dealership is on the other side of the city, and it only gets 12 mpg city. But, other then that, I'm considering it.

If it is on the sticker I would take it to Acura Corporate. They publish the vehicle sticker, not the dealer. There are strick laws for manufactuer's information placed on a sticker. Further Acura has significant ownership in XM. They may not offer to honor it, but if you take it to them I would expect they will honor it. Just get something in writing so when you deal with XM down the road, you have documentation.

I don't think the guy who started this thread said it was stated on his sticker. Blacklabel mentioned it later that he heard it was incorrectly on some early window stickers but quickly changed.
None the less, I totally agree. The sticker IS part of the contract. It's a legal and authoritative document guaranteeing you the features of that purchase. If it was on the sticker they'd have to honor it.
