OK, so I scrolled back to 2010 and did a search but didn't find anything. The 6-disk player crapped out. It doesn't read a single CD/DVD/store bought music CD. I have an opportunity to pick up another used HU and was wondering if someone could lead me in the right direction.

Find the Audio System.PDF. HU removal begins on page 94. I'm having trouble finding the center console trim removal instructions. I know the plastic piece around the shifter just "pops" up (use clean fingers to pry it out), but I'm not sure if that is necessary or how far it will get you.

 

Just follow the guide I have below and you shouldn't have any problems removing the head unit.
