Just wondering if anyone has installed a dash can in their RL and if yes, how did they run the wiring.

If it is mounted high, you can push the wires under the edges of the headliner and a-pillar. If it is mounted low, I would imagine you could get it to stick between the dash and windshield with some two sides tape or something. The goal for both being to get it to the driver's fuse box.

 

I did it last week. I got the G1W, it was on sale on Amazon. What camera did you get?

Took out the board from the usb charger that came with the camera, soldered an inline fuse and hooked it up to the rear view auto dimming mirror.

It turns on/off with the ignition and its running fine. I don't have any problems.

I had to wrap the board with foam to insulate it and also to prevent it from making any noise.

To make it easy take out the over head control panel, look for the plug that the auto dimming mirror cable is attached to and wire it up.

Yellow is positive and black is of course negative.

Have't bought anything yet-I am thinking about mini 0807, which is supposed to be released soon.

How is the G1W working out for you? Any heat issues with this camera and if you can take a few pictures showing where you mounted this camera and I would definitely like to know where exactly did you tapped into the wires that is for the rear view camera.

I have one in my car and love it so I just bought the A118-Capacitor with GPS for the wife. I haven't received it yet but looks pretty cool, nice and small with decent reviews.
