Computer integrated into the Nav?

Hey everyone,

I tried to look this up but I was wondering if there was a way to integrate a car computer (carputer) using the nav display as a monitor. Would it be possible to find a plug and play version instead of splicing wires?

If not, anyone have an idea of where to install an aftermarket 7" or 8" screen near the center controls? Perhaps make it retractable?

Thanks for any inputs!

You can input a video signal into the nav screen using G-Net's NavVideo product which is plug and play, but for a carputer application, the nav screen resolution is too low. Your best bet is to install another monitor somewhere.

Thanks for the response! Do you know what the resolution is on these displays? Is it something like 320x240?

Do you know of any other locations where you would put an aftermarket display? I don't think the center control stack can be moved or shifted around.

I'd appreciate any insight.
