Centre stack DIY??
Centre stack DIY??
hello!
In upcoming weeks I will be switching out few burned out lights, they are:
-AC / heating lights located just under the centre vents
-both left and right lights attached to seat heaters
Does anyone have DIY on how to take apart a centre stack on a 2008 RL and also what tools I might need?
I've taken out a radio from 2002 TL before if that helps out at all...

I think those lights can be replaced, my dealer replaced them for me when i bought the car (without replacing the panel). There's a thread somewhere in here about switching the panel from a 2005 with one from a 2007 with the fan controls that has some instructions on removal of it and such.
2009+ has the fan controls. OP, the climate control panel is separate from the head unit. The service manual in Carbons signature can tell you how to remove all the trim you need. The radio and nav controls don't need to be touched.
Someone did a semi DIY on this in here. I'll see if I can find it.
EDIT: here are the threads that describe how to replce the leds

And as 007 said, the service manual will tell you how to remove the climate control panel which isn't very difficult
