In my (recently purchased) 2005 RL, my fiance and I have both connected our phones for hands free use. We have used them on calls in the RL and it works good (considering it's an old system). The problem is the car keeps asking us to setup our bluetooth connection each time we drive the car (regardless of who's using the car). Nav screen displays: "Bluetooth connection found: ...Setup Now / Setup Later". It will sometimes ask to setup a phone numerous times while driving. It's getting a bit annoying. I can make it stop if I turn off the phone's bluetooth, but then I lose hands free phone capability (and my smartwatch connection).

Is there a problem with the system or my setup?
Are newer phones conflicting with the older car bluetooth?

The connected phones are Motorola X Pure (we both have same model phone).

Try disconnecting the battery for at least 15 mins. See if it resets things.
