bluetooth issues with number prompts

anyone else having this issue and any solutions or fixes?

here is the problem

when i dial with my bluetooth phone ( mot v551 via cingular) to a business that directs you to the appropriate place via dial 1 for customer support and 2 for sales etc messages. very often but not always the bluetooth system fails.

either it doesnt recognize the 1,2 opr 3 etc number spoken - and keeps saying pardon or says that is nota na available option. very annoying. called acura and dealer and motorola and cingular- to no avail.

same but worse problem when trying to page wife. pager expects quick entry of numbers aftr beeps have stopped. this system just takes its own time.

a good alternative would be to be able to just dial the additional numbers on the phones keypad- this also doesnt seem to abe an available option.

bluetooth issues with number prompts

I stored the prompts a numbers, such as:

When prompted for name I said password and saved my password number,
or said pin and saved my pin number, etc.

When on a call that needs a prompt I hit the phone botton and say dial password, when the car says the number I say OK. I have saved three commonly used prompts this way and have had no problems.

You can send strings of digits while connected the same way you do when you're dialing. While in the call simply say 'dial 1234' 'yes' or 'dial pin' if you have an addressbook entry called 'pin'. You just need to do this quickly enough that the receiving end doesn't get confused. Simply saying '1234' 'yes' should work too. The system tries to recognize numbers and phone book entries directly.
