I have always listened mosly to XM or some CD's I burned on my computer. (just regular m usic CDs, not DVD audio... )

I recently upgraded to an iphone and was wonderng,what is the cheapest/best/easiest way to integrate it with my factory stereo?

Unfortunately, I have an 06... so I have NO aux input in the center console. I will have to add some kind of unit to add connectivity.

I have seen the USA spec adaptor.. I believe if I add that I essentially woudl lose XM2, and that becomes thei nput for the iphone/ipod?

i could always go with an FM adaptor, but don't those usually sound very poor? I've never used one so I can't say how it would sound. i used to have an old car with a tape deck and i had a tape adaptor and that thing worked great.. it looked weird with the wire going tinto the tape deck..but hte sound quality was excllent...

i like the stereo in teh RL, and want to keep it all OEM, i just want to be able to plug in my iphone to the car and listen.

it would be gerat to hook it up in such a way that hte steering wheel and other audio controls in the car woudl control the iphone/ipod - but I could hoenstly lie with just an aux input where I had to control it all from the iphone...

for now I usually just put my favorite songs onto playlists, tkae the time/hassle to burn some huge MP3 cds..and load them into the cars CD player... with 6 of them.. and using track info on the CD..I can actually fit a LOT of music into myc ar... so guess wha I'm really looking for is the cool factor of just linking my iphone to the car and getting music fro the iphoenw/out having to continaully amke new CD's as I download new songs I like...

if it woudl work wirelessly that woudl be cool!
