What year did acura start putting the back up camera in the RL??

Did it come with all RL's that had NAVI??

 

05 and 06 all RL comes with Navigation, but only 06 can have oem backup camera...
06 the backup camera is an option
07+ the backup camera is standard on RL w/ tech package

 

psheu: I've read your other posts on the rear view camera, can I ask you a question (s)? On a base 07 (non-tech), if I want to achieve an OEM install, it looks like I will have to buy an 07+ tech license garnish. Do I also have to buy an 07 camera? Or can I use an 06 camera in the 07 license garnish? Also, if I can use an 06 camera, since the 07 tech license garnish has the mount for the camera, do I need to purchase the 06 attachment kit? Any help would by much appreciated!

I plan on swapping the base DVD for a nav DVD this weekend and am considering the rear camera next. T

 

you won't need the mont... but you do need the clip that comes with the mount to connect the 06 camera to the navi unit... if you can, it's better off to just get the 07+ camera... the 07+ garnish is not that expansive... the cameras are interchangeable... but i think the 07 camera fits better than the 06 on the 07 garnish
