Audio advice

Looking for some input from the forum. The CD/DVD player on my 2005 appears to be kaput. Has anyone had any success in getting an IPOD/MP3 to play through the system? I've tried those FM transmitter things, but they suck, especially in major cities.

We drive down to Florida from Ontario twice a year and listening to music is a key sanity factor!

Thx

Does the radio work? What about the XM free channel? The USA Spec unit interfaces with the XM module and is the most common and highly praised unit around here. If XM works, that will work too.

Fawking Canada. Does the stereo work? There is an external CD changer port on the back of the stereo that you can use to integrate the DICE MediaBridge.

Thx. Should have mentioned that it is CDN-spec. Looks like the CD/DVD reader is faulty - just keeps spinning, then may work for part of a song and then changes to next disk and started the routine all over.

Will investigate the DICE MediaBridge.

Have to listen to my wife enough already :-)

I would be really amazed to find out that Honda had anything to do with the orbit placement of XM satellites.

They could still have kept all north american cars equipped the same way. They satellites did start to orbit north of 45th parrallel only 24 months after the RL's launch. In the mean time, we could have used the system for situations like installing aftermarket adaptors.

But doesn't Canada already pay exorbitant prices for RLs?

We pay more on everything, check our telecoms. We even pay more on cars that are built in Canada.
