Laundry List

I have been debating on trading the RL for a 2011 550i located in Houston. Only because the RL has a laundry list of things that need to be fix. Transmission has a leak, a winning noise is coming from one of the pulley's, the radio cd changer jammed, the rear sunshade won't raise, the coin box and multi outlet won't close, the driver seat has small tear in leather, woodgrain steering wheel leather is faded, engine shifts position when accelerating out of a right turn, and the top display flickers. Now the she has been a good car all the way up until I pad it off. I hope i'll calm down and put her in the shop and get her a staple mate (2011 550i).

It's funny to me when people write a list of everything that broke on their RL and then buy a bimmer.

It sounds to me like the car could've been taken a little better care of.

Bossman you don't tell a car guy he could have taken better care of his car. Considering the only people I let work on her is Acura techs. She has been well taken care of cleaned and maintained. She's 8yrs old with only 104k on her. Like the Acura tech told me sometimes these things happen.

A tear in the seat and a faded steering wheel are not manufacture defects and can be avoided with care. That's all I was talking about.

I dont know, you knew the crank pulley was making noise back in april when you put it on, the top display, coin trays, and the engine mounts are all easy fixes for a "car guy".

As for the leak and the radio, I'll give you that being a pain in the ass...

You might not find the sympathy that you are fishing for... but good luck with the beema

The crank pulley has since been replaced with an aftermarket pulley from ralco. The pulley in question is the a/c compressor. The other easy fixes as you say are items I don't play with. I'm no mechanic I love cars, reading, driving, etc....

As far as sympathy none needed the post was more center around things going wrong with a car after its paid for.
