ANC Shut off

Just thought I'd share a discovery. I was messing around with my radio and trying to get the codes in. I kept pressing the 1 and 6 button presets on the radio and the ANC on/off switch popped up in the radio display. I just thought I'd post this but I'm sure everyone on here knew about this already, right?

Except last year when I was on the many threads on this site about installing aftermarket amps and subs and the horrible humming noise that the ANC mics would make, no one mentioned turning them off. Everyone kept saying to pull the plugs on the mics in the headliner. It was a pain in the arse getting to the rear mics...yes it was. So either, no one knew about the on/off switch or turning the ANC off would not get rid of the humming or I'm a big fool and everyone's laughing at me......

J/K! It won't remain shut off though. It resets everytime you restart (at least on my car). As we have seen recently though, not all RLs act alike. I just unplugged mine from the amp. It seemed the easiest to reset to stock form.

Haha..OK I don't feel so bad and I see why we unplugged it if it keeps coming back on after every startup...

Ah, yes. I remember now. That was right in the middle of my box build. Nice work.
