One light out in my console... how do I change the bulb?

I just realized at night time, that my light is out where you adjust the temperature.. the blue and red don't light up like on the passenger side it does.

Its the one on the left..

Any ideas how to get this lit up again?

you need to remove the side trim, then remove the radio.

then remove the climate control unit, and then separate the climate control unit from the front buttons...in there you can replace the LED bulbs.

instructions are on page 98 of the HVAC.pdf from the downloadable manual on the 2G RL garage link.

If you are going in there I say replace them all at one time.

"Smack" is a technical term, slightly more forceful than a "bump" but not as aggressive as a "slam". FYI.

I'v been searching posts for the last week for the way to replace the same bulb on my 2005 RL, too bad you have to take the whole top of the center console and center dash apart to change a bulb.

Mine went out today, along with the defrost and heated mirror lights immediately to the left.. Thought it was the cold until I saw this thread...

I'm ordering new bulbs and I'll take photos of the replacement if you still need them.

I read this thread and a day later my driver side light on the air conditioning switch went out. I've already changed the light for the driver side heated seat button a year ago. I just took my center console out and discovered again we pay the dealer all this money to fix this stuff for fear of not damaging our vehicles and it turns out it's quiet simple. The sad thing is the dealer is the only one I can find that sales the bulbs. Now if I could get to the bulb on the lock switch on the driver side.
