05 rl will not start

Yo RL family, I have a 2005 RL that will not start. battery voltage ok. panic button on remote works, but other buttons do not unlock or lock vehicle. must open door with key shank. interior lights will not come on when doors are opened, ignition will not turn. when I use key shank to turn ignition on, the vehicle security system is activated and alarm turns on. when alarm is on, message in cluster says key security or something to that nature. I'm confused and tryna figure out what is not working, and why only the panic button works on the remote. is the car not seeing the key? but even still, the interior lights should come on when doors are opened. what module controls seeing the key and monitoring the door status? PLEASE HELP

Check fuse 7 in driver kick panel. It's a 10A fuse.

Thank you oo7spy, I replaced the fuse that was blown. as soon as I replaced it, the alarm sounded and immediately blew the fuse and I'm back at square 1. what exactly does that fuse power up? do you have a schematic?

Found out the problem. after putting in another 10amp fuse and blowing it, I decided to place a 15amp fuse in. Vehicle started up normally. After a couple min, I smelled burning plastic. and knew whatever it was had high resistance in it. took the fuse out and checked the door handles front passenger door handle was SMOKING HOT. Even started to melt the paint. Ima replace the door handle this week and go from there.

I'm having same problem.

I tried the same thing. Changed the fuse and car started normal. The #7 fuse ended up blown again.
Not sure what to do next?
