Saw this and thought I would post it. An 05 RL with 22k selling for $44k. Considering you can get them that cheap new whos going to buy this car?

Wow, I wonder who'd be gullible enough to purchase at that Buy It Now price. I hope that's not his reserve. If someone does buy at that price, I might put my RL on eBay and try to get a profit out of it.

 

he probably paid close to MSRP for it when it came out.

of course the asking price is going to be high...no one wants to take a bath on selling a car.

I've been shopping a few used 2G RLs locally, and confusion about this car shows up in the prices. Some are trying to recoup their initial cost and asking around $42-44k, while I've seen other 06s at $36-38k and some 05s at 32-34k.

I do wish they could have made it reardrive w/o the costly and heavy SHAWD. It's got the best interior and features of any pre 2005 Honda.

If some new coupe doesn't wow me I'll probably get an RL later in the year when the prices hit what I want to pay. I like cars that are not too common.

 

I have some pencils with his teeth marks, maybe we can find out for sure.

It is not a ripoff is someone is willing to pay that. No one is being forced or coherced...it is an offer. Likely no one would pay that, but ever seller thinks it is worth more than every buyer. There are plenty of buyers (with or without money) who buy on impulse without cross shopping or barter to the penny. It's HIS crapshoot, and if he found a buyer at that price, I'd APPLAUD him.

Consider also, it is the BUY NOW price. He may be willing to sell lower, but does not want to cut himself short of a potentially higher bid. Not great selling tactics, but hey, his buck, not yours. It is a PRIVATE sale, an HIS rules apply.
