woo hoo first problem

So after a couple days of tinkering with the side view mirrors cause i had not gotten a chance to program the memory for FOB 1 or 2 yet to my settings after getting the car, now the side view mirrors do not go left or right, just up and down!

no real programming required for some settings - just set the mirrors, wheel, seat to your liking and press and hold the #1 or #2 button on the door

Getakey:

The mirrors do not move left and right now lol, like when you try to adjust they physically do not move. Only up and down work

I don't have an answer for that problem, although I have noticed a similar problem when it is very hot outside (<100)
Given time of year, doubt that you have that issue.
I'm suspicous of the switch though since your problem is common to both.

It sounds like there is a software issue with the multiplex control unit that operated the memory functionality of the mirrors. This is the same actuator that also manages the tilt down functionality of the mirrors.

Unfortunately I do not think it is repairable by a flash memory update. If I remember correctly, there is a TSB out there that instructs the tech to replace the multiplex modules in the doors.

If you are out of warranty, maybe a good faith or labor only fix can be arranged with your dealer?

I would search for the TSB on the tilt down failure and it should have the part numbers for the multiplex modules. You may even be able to replace them yourself.
