Just noticed the threads on the 05-07 RL wiper TSB. I have noticed when I use the windshield cleaning function the wipers leave many (10 or more) drops all over the windshield. I thought it was just a weakness of the car but now I'm wondering if I should invoke the TSB to see if it might help. The wipers work great in rain are not noisy. Any thoughts from those who have had the dealer work on their wipers? Thanks!

 

Invoke the TSB. The substitute driver's arm is much better, it actually holds the windshield at speed now and finally does an adequate job of clearing the glass.

However, my dealer had to replace it again because they installed it incorrectly -- it wasn't going all the way to the edge of the windshield, and the spring was rattling against the glass (which was making me insane).

Be forewarned that the dealer may give you grief for invoking it -- at least mine did in the summer time. The TSB is for "Wiper fails to clear snow and ice" and they wanted to know why I was having that problem in August. I told them that the wiper arm was exerting insufficient pressure on the glass and THAT was the problem. They grumbled but did it.

However, in December, depending upon where you live, this shouldn't be an issue.

 

I asked my dealer (acura pleasanton) to replace it: they did it no problem even though I live in sf bay area. after replacement, does wipe water off glass much better on driver's side.

 

Where do I find the full (and preferably official) list of TSBs I can browse through and present some to my dealer?

 

There isn't one here. However, I have an idea.

If everyone with a pdf (or URL if there is one) of the TSBs emails them to me, I can host them and put them in a sticky thread. PM me for the email addy, or just PM me the URL.
