What fluid types for 05 RL
What fluid types for 05 RL
Hey guys found a killer deal on a rl.
Did not come with owners manual
I'm doing all the fluids now.
Rear diff I got the Acura all wheel DPSF fluid
Transfer case 75-90 royal purple
Trans going with the royal ATF
Power steering . Honda power steering
Brake fluid dot 3
Engine oil 5w20 royal purple
Just making sure this is the right types. I don't want a debate on royal being bad.

Nothing wrong with those. I would go for Acura ATF, but it's your consequence, not mine.
The manual is stored in the service manual found in the garage (2nd or 3rd thread in the main 2G RL forum.)

I would stick with Acura fluids for the transmission and rear diff. Why take the chance with this. It is not like other fluids are that much better or if any...
I'd just changed the rear diff over the weekend, pretty easy only thing to remember is there are two chambers.

Diff, tranny, and transfer fluid part numbers are in this thread. You need 4 of each, except only three of the transfer fluid. I'd get the washers too. You need six of the last (20mm?) washer. Ordering these parts online will cost about $120, including shipping, whereas I paid $178 at the dealership.

Alternatively, call the dealer and get the right part numbers for whatever you want t do, and then order online.
