For a long time I was totally confused what does DISP_mode button on the console (above presets button "6"). Finally I found it in the Owner's manual around page 182 - when audio is in XM mode pressing this button for about 5 seconds switches between "Category" mode and "Channel" mode. So at least this button does something. But still I wonder if there is any other use for it, because it is kinda strange that the button never does anything being pressed shortly! Any ideas?

It makes myself easier select teh same category's stations... otherwise, I hardly use it on my XM. There should be one more feature linking to that button. Let me search.

 

It also changes what's displayed in the MID. It cycles through Artist Name, Song Title, Station Title, etc. Don't quote me on the order of this...
