Added an SRI a few weeks ago

I can't say that it adds hp or mpg but it sounds great with the throttle open.

Where did you get that? Brand and model?

I did search for a cold air intake but couldn't find one for the RL. Looks like it fits well.

the only thing that SRI added are decrease power, hot air to your engine and a dent in your bank account.

This one is from Cosmo Racing:
RL050835-SI
https://www.cosmoracing.com/air-inta...ort-ram-intake
It was just under $100 with shipping.

It fits great. I had to remove the stock intake box of course and in an out with the battery to get it in. Only half an hour for the install.

Yes. I just added the link. That's the only one I could find anywhere. Seem like the RL doesn't have much for aftermarket non-cosmetics.

How long did it take to ship since it goes through customs coming from Canada?

One more question, did it come with the filter or was it just the tube? Seems like a great price. Thanks!

It included the filter and everything required for the install. The only thing that was recommended but not included was oil for the filter. I purchased this by K&N. K&N Air Filter Oil

Let us know how the install goes.

Cool

I pulled out all of the Bose speakers and went with JL's and adding sweaters where the old woofer was kept above the trunk.

Tweeters* My bad

To answer the other question I have noticed many gains in efficiency and the lower power band is more decent as well. Id say with all the mods I can confidently say that my RL has 300HP when at stock it about 286HP. Maybe more but nowhere in the doubles I don't think.

Has anyone in this thread thought about going with Super Chargers Or Turbos? Im trying to get in touch with CT Engineering to see if they can hook me up with a factory supercharger but everyone I speak too say they haven't spoken to them in years and none of the shops I frequent know about RL's. Not very common in the bay.

I've seen the RL supercharged and turbocharged but the people who were behind them didn't share much information unfortunately. I know it can be done, how, I wish I had more information... I'd love if you created a thread about how you did the audio. I know many users would appreciate it!

My grill was starting to peel so I gave it a few coatings with a dark metallic paint. I am considering doing plasti-dip on the rims and chrome trim to get a gun metal finish.

I did see the DIY after I asked haha. I think if I were to do it I would add the doors as well so it all matches.

Thanks man

I replaced the rear sway bar bushings (super easy in the back. i also used teflon tape), and front sway bar end links. all with Moog parts. However, for the front end links i reused the oem nuts, the self locking nuts provided were too hard to tighten.

I also bought the front bushings for the sway bar but cannot find any room to unbolt the bracket. any ideas? even my wrench will not go in.

WTF. none of my wrenches will go in. absolutely no space for a sockey or wrench. How am i going to replace these?? the back ones were so easy.

^^^ Wow, must drop the sub-frame??? Yeah, not great design. I'd like to have my sway bar bushings replaced, so guessing the shop will charge plenty. Probably will try and bundle it with a major suspension re-do, but car ('07 RL Tech) barely has 104K and other than some noise from sway bar on extreme lateral angles (think steep driveway to street taken at an angle), the suspension seems OK.

Yes, I read the service manual and you'd need to lower the subframe to get clearance. Ridiculous! Like you, my car is also creaking when I am pulling into the driveway, so i replaced tie rods, stabilizer end links, and everything else..so it has to be these front bushings...i just feel like it is too much of a hassle to drop the subframe. the rear is super easy lol

Acura RL sounds so nice

Did a mid and rear muffler delete and resonator delete. Holy shit sounds way better then I expected! If anyone wants to see how it sounds give me a personal message and I will send a video. There aren’t a lot of vids/pics about RL’s anywhere and I wanna change that!
