if this is true.

I am SO sick of the nozzles not working in cold weather. I actually had to drive on the freeway, using the wipers without fluid as it was so cold.

Minor hijack: Anyone else have another solution for that problem?

They probably upgraded the pump but the kept cost down on the rest of the items that carried over so perhaps the pump is swappable. ??

At the touch of a button, HotShot heats the washer fluid to about 150º F (65º C) within 30 seconds and sprays it onto the
I just don't know about spraying 150 degree anything onto a frozen windshield.

Because it might melt the ice? I would have to imagine, as the hot fluid sprays out, it becomes a pattern of unique drops that each have their own surface area that would cool them off more efficiently. I would question whether the fluid would actually stay hot enough in very cold temps (-25 here this am) to reach the windshield even warm, let alone turning into a cloud before it gets a chance to do anything. I realize I was the one who put that link in the other thread, but that was before I saw the age old trick of throwing a cup of boiling water into the air when its this cold out.

cold weather is not so much the problem for me...i just use good washer fluids (although the cdn versions use a CRAP load of fluid because of the headlight wipers...6.5L feels like 3L). main quirk is that if i aim the nozzles high, it ok at speeds of 100km/h (60mph), but then it sprays most of the fluid onto roof of the car when at a stop...annoying during the summer when the sunroof is down, unless you like a little winshield washer shower every now then.

i'll post my findings, if any.
