Very Depressing

It's still a long way from spring and my RL was covered from top to bottom with dirt, road salt, and the like. This past Saturday I braved the cold, washed her down, and gave her a nice coat of wax. She looked good.

Now as I look out my office window I watch as the falling snow slowly covers her clean paint.

It's going to be a long, sloppy ride home.

Yes, but it will be a comfortable ride home, listening to a great sound system, with your backside warmed by the seat heaters, confident in the knowledge that your traction and braking will get you home safely. Just watch out for the idiots out there.

I feel your pain. Used to live in Colorado where the seasons are winter, summer and mud. Here in California lots of people freak out if a single mote of dust lands on their car. Having a black RL means that I have now joined them...

I just heard a global warming conference has been cancelled due to the heavy snows in upper NY state. Really!

I don't know about that, but the following may be what they were referring to:

It just kills me to see it so full of salt. I've been going to this new hand car wash by my house, but at $15 a pop just for an exterior wash), it can get pretty expensive with the weather we've been having.

I got gas today and the touchless wash was open so I paid an extra 6.00 and washed the car. There is still some salt but at least I can see 95% of the original color again.

I consider myself very fortunate...I have 1999 CRV (that I just bought back from my daughter) that allows the RL to stay inside and avoid the ravages of winter snow and salt. But believe me, I feel your pain.

I toyed with it, but they're predicting another 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight so why bother.

Good news is that it's supposed to begin warming up next week with some rain!
