Turn Signal click

Quick question.
I have a VERY audible clicking sound in my steering column, ONLY when I have the turn signal on. It's about every 6-8" of wheel travel. I am almost certain it is some sort of internal 'post' that catches the turn signal and returns it to nutral after the turn. Just not sure why I'm hearing it so loudly.
I drove a friends RL and she had it too... so I figured it was 'normal', but then again, we both had wood steering wheels installed from the same dealer on delivery. So I'm wondering if it's something they didn't do quite right when they installed the wheel.

Wanted to check on here to see if it's normal before I mention it at my next service.
Thanks

Update... The fact that 60+ people read this thread... and no-one spoke up saying "Me too".... I assumed that there was something wrong. Took it in yesterday and sure enough there is a faulty turn signal (plastic piece inside).

Anyway... it's on order. I'll let ya'll know if the replacement takes care of the problem.
