TSB's and Dealer choice of resolving them?
TSB's and Dealer choice of resolving them?
Hi,
Wondering, if I complain about an issue that Acura has a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on, does an Acura Dealer have a choice to honor it at no charge or not?
For example, I complained that my rear shelf rattles/vibrates. There's a TSB on this 05-030 SEP 05. My dealer has no interest in fixing it.
Thanks.

A TSB is basically a description of and solution for a fairly common issue on a given car. It either doesn't happen frequently enough, or doesn't cause a sufficient safety risk, to merit a recall. If a vehicle is out of warranty, and a TSB has been issued, some dealers will choose to make the repair at no cost, but they do not have to.
some dealerships are better than others.... if they don't want to do it, take your car and your business elsewhere that appriciate you.... I brought my car in for a regular maintance (oil change, rotate tires, etc.), after I dropped off my car, the service guy called me and told me that there are recalls and other things that they can fix and change for me for free.... they called me to get permission to do free fix up on my car
what a deal
..... I guess being friends with the dealership service goes a long way
