TSBs
What ASP said. It *could* be that there is a problem with the software that the techs use to update the XM account after the radio gets replaced. But the resolution is to simply create your own account with XM. Doesn't cost a penny and it doesn't take very long. XM wants you to have your own account anyway.
XM Auto Registration is the culprit

The only solution seems to be to call XM and make sure that your account is transferred to the new unit or start a new account. I don't blame the Acura service techs for the problem as they follow the TSB instructions and the new unit appears activated. XM automated system just doesn't work properly. This is not an Acura problem, not a problem with the car, just a system problem at XM.
Only had 1 problem after having all of the TSBs done (a years worth). The door locks keeping trying to lock themselves randomly even when they're locked. Haven't tried the suggestion to disconnect the battery terminals. Will try that this weekend.
Other than that - no problems.......yet!

I read about owners who have recently purchased new cars and are experiencing
problems that the TSBs were to have addressed. The fact is that some dealers have
failed to update cars they have in inventory before they sell them...of course the
new owner is POed. Before you buy, check to see if the updates have been performed. Mine works fine now ......

I'd wait another month or so to give the dealers a chance to fix the issues. The Acura service depts seem to be struggling with basic things like reinstalling the rear seat properly after replacing the AcuraLink unit. Others have complained about sloppy trunk lining reinstallations. TSB 05-022.
I personally think Acura still has a problem with some of the newly released AcuraLink units and I'd recommend waiting to see if they recall them. Several of us have had two to three installed. .
Also, I'm not so sure the new transmission software if 100%. I've noticed some strange shifting patterns at slow speeds. . .??? TSB05-027

You're better off having the TSBs fixed now.
I had them installed and my transmission is shifting better plus XM is updating instantly. I haven't seen any downside.

The squealing returned in a few days and is actually worse because it continues squealing for a longer period of time.
I'll take it back when I have time, which will probably be my next oil change unless it really annoys me.
Did I mention that I'm not impressed with my dealer?
