Trunk and gas door release not working
Trunk and gas door release not working
I just noticed that neither the trunk release (remote, driver’s door button, or trunk handle) nor the gas door release are working. Could there be a fuse for both of these? Wondering if mice could have eaten wires or something.
Thanks. I was able to resolve the gas door issue. When I was pulling fuses for a battery drain issue, I accidentally put a relay in the wrong slot. On the passenger's side there are 3 relays and 4 slots so it was confusing
. Anyway, one of those relays was for the gas door so that's working again.
I'm currently trying to figure out the truck release. All of the fuses look fine.

Lol, had the same problem while I was redoing my glove box. I disconnected it and then couldn't figure out why my trunk wouldn't pop...took me a day and a half to figure it out.
Trunk and Gas lid not working on 2009 Acura TL
Hello. I am having this problem now. Where is the relay located? The driver side fuse box or the passenger side? Also, which fuse position solved the issue for you?

I remember it's on the passenger side. You get to spend some fun time on the floor. I can't remember the right configuration though. Hopefully, since there aren't that many possibilities, you can get it, assuming it's the same issue as mine.
I'm looking for the relay diagram, but I believe there is a manual release from inside the trunk. Hopefully I'm not mistaken on this, but I vaguely remember on the driver's side, there is a panel and inside that, there's something you can pull to release the fuel door.
On the passenger side, did you see the fuse/relay box? With mine, there were fewer relays than available slots. That's where I had made a mistake when reinstalling those relays. From the fuse diagrams, I don't see any listed that are related to a gas door so that's got me confused now.
Maybe it's a different issue for you.

Does anyone know how to fix the gas cap door lock actuator? Or at least pull a fuse to deactivate it? It's obviously bad or seized up...everytime it tries to work it makes an awful noise, when I lock and unlock the car and also when I put the car in and out of park. It was not working at all and I had to pry the gas door panel off and then I was able to push the lock pin back and open it so I could put gas in the vehicle. I removed the catch on the door so the lock can't get stuck anymore but it still makes the terrible noise. I also tried tearing my truck apart and trying to get at it underneath to try to find the part so I could at least replace it but haven't been able to access it yet. Anyone else been able to find a solution for this issue. I would be fine even if I could just remove a fuse so that particular lock stopped activating but it's not clean and I don't want to effect other functionality. Thank you for any help!
