True Cost to Own

Don't know if this has been posted before so I'll apologize if it has but according to Ecmunds, in the $60,000 and under range, the RL has the lowest cost to own:

Edmunds TCO

Acura should put that in an ad. I haven't had any problems with my car that I didn't cause myself other than a squeaky sunroof.

I agree, though that might actually shoo some luxury buyers away. Seems that, absent a deep recession (coming soon to an economy near you BTW), there is a rather large cohort of consumers who like to spend, and the more the merrier!

Value-oriented sedan buyers are looking primarily at Camrys and Accords, I fear...or even the fast-improving Korean makes.

My own purchase of the RL was informed by the Edmunds TCO award, among many other factors--all pointing to the fact that this car is the optimal combination of everything that matters.

I guess that depends on the dealer. $100 for an A1 service? Fortunately, the first one was free.

That's insane! We charge $64.90 for an A 1 service (after a free A and A 1 service)

Love MY RL ...but

I love my 06 RL and appreciate it's low total cost of ownership. That was what I was banking on with a Acura/Honda product. But, I confess do have a bit of a wandering eye and am waiting for the Total Cost of Ownership to come down on this seductive number:

I think it will be a very long wait.
