Tranny fill options?

has anyone filled the tranny from a fill hole on the outside left side of the tranny right next to left front wheel? Seems there is an access hole over there that might substitute for the fill on top of the tranny near the battery- or using the dip stick fill hole.

Thanks.

I've seen that fill bolt but never used it. The fill point blow the fuse box is ridiculously inaccessible. I use a tranny funnel and fill it through dip stick tube, very easy.

thanks men-- I used the bolt on top of the tranny last time, but it was a royal pita. I wondered if I could use that fill bolt this time since it is a lot easier for me to access while the car is up on a lift (my buddy has a lift he lets me use).

I had little trouble with the designed full hole. Remove the fuse bolts, use a 12" extension, and use a long funnel. Really wasn't bad.

Curious how you would get the bolt back on? My hand could not fit down there easily even with fuse box slightly moved. I'm going dipstick route, too simple not to.

again, a mechanic familiar with Hondas thinks that bolt behind the drivers side wheel well is a fill port for the tranny. i am trying to confirm this . anyone use it?

it could be the access bolt for the internal filter that the trans has so you might want to be careful!

I don't remember exactly, but I want to say I shoved my hand down there. About the same difficulty of a headlight.
