Question Timing Belt & Tune up.

I have 86500 miles on my 07 Rl. It is garaged in NC. Since it has been 8 years I was a little concerned about the timing belt. Many have said that they are great and hardly ever fail before 105K miles. Since I am near 90K I was thinking I should do the timing belt and tune up early. Any thoughts, is there anything else I should have as a service priority? I drive between 200 and 300 miles a week.

Nothing else to do. Next would be spark plugs, but that is a simple task. I'm assuming you changed all the fluids.

Service

I did radiator fluid, transmission & rear differential at 60K. Oil changed regularly.

Radiator will get drained again when you do TB. How about front differential? Rear should be changed every 30k miles. Brake fluid every three years.

^You mean transfer case?

Change your water pump and tensioner pulley while you are doing the timing belt.

My 07 is just shy of 70k. It won't happen too soon but I'll change my belt before 100k bc I plan to keep my RL for a long time.

My 06 RL is at 56k miles, and I haven't changed had the timing belt service. The service did mention that it's past 7 years when I was at the dealer last year for an oil change. At the rate I drive it, the oil change indicator only comes up once a year. I was thinking of doing the timing belt service at the next service (still at 80% oil life).
