I presume you mean the comparison of the G35x with the RL (?)

They are pretty comparable in many ways, except the SH-AWD is more sophisticated than the Atessa AWD in the G35. Also, the RL has more luxurious appointments and equipment.

I'd say the G35x is kind of a "poor man's" RL, in that it's close in general specifications, but the interior quality, fit and finish and overall luxury is well below that of the RL.

Just my opinion after owning an RL and almost buying a new G35.

The RL has more of a presence and feels more luxurious. The G is competing against the BMW 3 series. The RL is competing against the 5 series...

FWIW, I test drove both cars (G35 Sport and RL) last year.....

Agreed. Actually, I was quoted a pretty competitive price for a 2007 M35X in earlier this week...

However, I like the look of the RL more, when compared to the M35X.

As long as he's living within his means, that's OK. However, if he's not, he's going to get into financial trouble..

We keep at least one of our cars long term. The other one, since it's the primary wife/kids vehicle, I'd like to keep no older than 10 years, ideally.

My present car is a 96 Accord, which we paid off in 2000... No car debt in almost 8 years sure feels great!

pretty stupid, you have to compare the RL and M35x or even new M45x to be fair.
