Ten Easiest Cars To Bargain For... from Forbes

Not surprised either. They must have quoted average transaction prices because I was $8K under MSRP. This explains the very low supply of the 09 RL currently. More surprised that the TL was on the list though at #10??? The TL is supposed to be Acura's best selling car and shouldn't be on such a list. I've also read about hefty discounts off the S class as well though. (not comparing the 2 vehicles, just stating the discounts) Good for the consumer.

WHAT? The TL is on that list. More evidence that Forbes should not be in the car reporting business.
Even so....their mention of the RL is dead on. I won't even comment about Acura's abysmal marketing of the car.
It's almost enough to go make me buy an unreliable Benz just to boost my ego. OK, I'm kidding about that (snicker).

The TL is on the list because they'er being cleared out for the '09s. Same for the RL. Most of the other cars/trucks on the list are there because they're either gas hogs or crap (or crappy gas hogs).

Not that I would put a lot of credence into Forbes car reporting, but you would think that the list would be a representation of a pattern of poor sales requiring discounts to move, not just end of year discounts. If that were the case you could put every 2008 vehicle left on the lot on the list from every manufacturer. I haven't bought a TL since 2001, and assuming Forbes did some sort of reasonable market research (doubtful), are they discounting TL's this much to move them as a pattern or is this just a one year phenomenon?? It's a rhetorical question but an interesting one, I don't frequent the TL forum to know.
