Struts: Front, Rear or All

I'm close to getting this done, but in speaking with some friends, they suggest I just do the front as they tend to degrade first and that my rear struts are probably ok.

I honestly can't tell if they are or not. My ride, in general, seems rougher and there are a lot of low, muted thuds over bumps.

Just curious if anyone changed the front and left the rears as is and if they noticed a difference and/or ended up changing the rears soon thereafter because they probably should have changed all four to begin with?

In Legend #1, my rear passenger was the first to go.

Maybe you need new friends?

Does it matter which you upgrade first, wheels and tires first, or shocks/struts first?

Tires are a safety requirement. Struts are too, but too a much lesser extent. They are mostly for comfort. Wheels are just for looks.
