Sticky door handle

I noticed after my car sits a while, my drivers door handle seems like it sticks and the the door does not open smoothly. If I close it and try again , it is fine. Need a litlte lube? But where do I spray? and with what?

I've noticed the same...especially on the driver side.

I have the same issue on the driver's side, except that it's always sticky. I forgot to tell them about it at my last service, so next time I bring it in I'll have it fixed.

Same here..only driver's side and is getting more frequent. I had mentioned it a while back to the dealer when I was having other servicing, but they didn't note any issues. Now that it is more prevalent, they should be able to address next time I'm in.

It sounds like this is not an uncommon issue. If anyone is aware of the resolution (e.g. just lube somewhere?), please share.

With all the electronics in that door, I'd be hesitant about squirting lube in there willy-nilly.

Now, if they could just keep it from slamming down on my shin when the car's parked on the slightest of inclines....

Same thing here...

I complained to my dealer rep and he told me that he would be reluctant to have his technician tear apart the door and risk messing something up for such a small problem. (...couldn't believe that one, actually...)

But now the problem seems to be getting worse. Driver's side only. I lubed with lithium grease and then tried silicone...no effect. Must be something internal.

I put some white lithium grease on the door latch (u shaped attachement to door pillar). So far so good. Will let you know how it works out.
