Thumbs up Spotted an 06 Red RL on ebay with aspec bodykit and wheels

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...QQcmdZViewItem

If anyone was interested I thought I would post the link.
I never seen the redondo red with an aspec kit. I think it looks awesome. I dont think however its a complete kit, it may be missing the suspension and badging but for the price that could be added very easily.

$30,000 is just the starting bid. Odds are the reserve is somewhat higher.

yes, the reserve is certainly higher since it says "reserve not met".

This is a dealer. No doubt a trade in that he's selling on the lot and also trying to give exposure too with Ebay. Dealers realize how many people browse Ebay Motors nowadays. It's cheaper to pay the $40 listing fee simply for the advertising. It's better and cheaper then a newspaper!

Rest assured, he's not giving away this car for anything less then book value.

This is a 2006 vehicle, built long after the floods from Katrina.

^ Refresh my memory, when was the 06 RL released... theoretically, it could have just arrived in LA when Katrina hit @ the end of August '05.

What's odd is that he says it was a trade-in but it doesn't appear to be a dealership that's selling this vehicle. And he has zero feedbacks. And he spelled 'manual' like 'manuel.'

That is possible. By why discount the vehicle by the small likelyhood this is a flood vehicle simply because it is in LA? A simple VIN check for the manufacture's first title date can qualify that jeopardy. And if it IS a flood vehicle, or it was built prior to Katrina with LA ownership history...good catch.

If I remember Synth, your RL purchase was a 'to good to be true' deal. If you had disqualified the vehicle solely on the offered price being a reason for skepticism, you likely would not be driving it today and enjoying that you got.

Guys,

not only does he not have any feedback, but his account was supposedly created in July of 06. Also, any dealer, big or small, does a lot better job listing cars, and even more so listing mid to high-end ones like ours. Something looks/seems/feels weird and dubious about the listing...

Proceed with caution would be my recommendation. I've been burned more in the last few months on eBay than I had the previous 7.5 years!

Good luck!
