saw two 2009 rl...

i want to the new york auto show on today and there they where. Surprize! people had many negative things to say about the front end and the rear. one guy that i spoke with gave his solution, to paint the top part of the grill the color of the rl. He is not a Rl owner but spoke of buying. i spoke to acura rep, told them and others our disappointment. they had no answers. both 2009 where locked had a 2008 open to sit in....... still would not buy with that face on it!

I wish the designers were there to answer questions.

I was going to say they were probably too embarrassed, then I remembered the photo of the guy with the mullet. Obviously nothing embarrasses him.

I'm the guy you spoke to. I was thinking you could paint black "wiskers" on the power plenum to make it look more like the old style grill with alternating horizontal bright and dark lines. It could taper at the ends, so overall it would diminish the in-you-face look of the front brightwork and all it really needs is some fat pinstripe self-adhesive tape on the nose.

Something like this. Click to see bigger image. Note also I painted the rims to give them a better split stoke look.

No whiskers please. Good try, though!

Honestly, I'm becoming used to the new schnoz. Doesn't mean I like it, it means I'm getting used to it. Sorry, Tampa!
