HP alone does not constitue speed. Many variables will determine a verhicle to vehicle speed comparison.
Weight, tranny gearing, suspension tuning, tires, exhaust tuning, timing and ECU configurations, environmental conditions, etc, etc.
The RL is tuned differnetly than the TL, more for comfort, smoothness, refinement and attributes many people value over top end performance. The nature of these cars is different, regardles of how many overlaps in sizes, components and metrics.
