Did anyone else see a tv ad for the RL during the football championship games last Sunday? I almost couldn't believe it, but there was 60 second spot for the RL which was part of the Acura Advance series of ads. It was classy, understated and to the point. WTF, that's exactly what kind of car the RL is, right?? Is this a new direction for Honda/Acura? We can only hope.

I saw the commercial and agree with you. It was a pretty classy ad IMO.

 

I must have seen the abbreviated version - about 30 secs worth. Did not mention any tech stuff - just visuals.

 

I saw an RL ad a while ago. Not a great one but better than nothing I guess. It appears that Acura overall is doing a bit more advertising. Perhaps they're serious about the "Advance" program. In fact, my dealer has had an ad in the newspaper just about every day for the past month. I can't remember ever seeing one before.

I've been hoping someone captured it and put it on YouTube, but no such luck yet.

It seems that Acura is taking our words here to heart and giving all the Acuras, including the RL, more exposure lately. They have to get the product out there so people will know the RL exists. Good on Acura that they're trying instead of rolling over. I like this new direction, emphasizing luxury and technology.

I also got an Acura email recently talking about the Acura racing car and directing me to an Acura site regarding the Advanced Sports Car.
