W/O - the MMC has an improved rear end that is classy and clean. The spoiler does not integrate well, stands out as an appendage and will only improve down-force at speeds in excess of 200mph. Although hideous, the only spoilers of any use were used on the Porche turbo of the 90's and a similar vintage WRX STI.
Every spoiler increases wind resistance and unless it improves down-force then it costs you performance. The only other use is to make it look like it goes faster - kinda like racing stripes down the hood.

the spoiler is just for looks, it is barely visible beyond the trunk lid as most of it is located behind/back. This spoiler is just for looks, no function was ever intended.

racing stripes on the other hand add at least 100hp when looking through rear view mirror...intimidation still works

My friends 4 inch black and white squared checkered flag painted on his roof made the ETA longer due to the factoring of the police stop on almost every journey!

so u would never put a spoiler on your car? and if it came with one, would u take it off because it has no performance purpose?

Hmmm im gonna go without for now and hold on ordering one on ebay for (300$+) b/c its easier to add on than it is to remove a spoiler if that makes any cents. I like the spoiler looking at it from the back, but im not realli feeling the spoiler on the sideviews of the car because u can realli tell that the spoiler was a separate part that was juss "stuck" on. I am aware that is is an OEM spoiler but i wish it was more integrated into the car.

PS thank you 037 for posting ur pics. I realli like the pic where u zoom in the spoiler, that makes it look REALLY good, its sooooo CLEAN.

On some cars it works. Making a luxury car try to look like a sports car is like writing "Sport" on the side of your truck. (unless you consider transporting lawn-mowers a sport). A fairly high rear end, such as the RL only gets higher with a spoiler and the rear view aspect ratio change doesn't enhance its looks.
037 - the car was a mini and Everyone looks down on a mini!

well, I was going for Sport

it's not all visual, I do have the springs for better body control and SS brakelines for better brake feel as well as the slotted rotors and better brake pads for shorter stopping distances.

Butt dyno says those are real changes that allow me to take an RL with all it's luxury into the TL sporting dynamics territory.

6 for 5 against...statistical tie if you don't count me and my obvious choice.

I would def vote for Yes with spoiler. I would love to get one for my car but for its price tag, there are so many other things I can get for the car. Wish I could find one in $100 range.

thank you for everyone who particpated. I am going with NO spoiler. its the side view that bothers me cuz it looks like a little (red) triangle is on the tail of the car.

ty u again 037. it seems like u are the only 2009+ RL owner in this forum. congrats! :-)

I'm not the only owner...but I guess everyone else chooses not to participate. Maybe I just have too much time on my hands
