RL gone crazy.

So about a month and a half ago i went to reverse out of my driveway and when i put the car in to gear it just went ape shit, the Emissions light came on, check transmission on the mid, AFS came on, blah. I turned my car off and back on then no lights except check emmisions came back. I disconnected the battery to see if i confused a sensor or something, and vwala! all was good, or so i thought. The code did store in the computer, But all was good untill today. I started the car, then boom. AFS,Emmisions,Transmission, No Keyless entry. I just want to now if anyone else had this problem happen to them. im not really concerned since the car is running well i just wanted to get some insight on what the problem might be before i go to the dealer and get anal probed.

go to autozone and get the battery checked out. Many issues like this are caused by a dying battery, and with the electronics laden RL, it wouldn't surprise me that if it was just your battery not giving the correct voltage at startup and spiking a module or two with electric!

Most likely battery, as mentioned above. The same issue is common on BMW's e65. A bit dried battery triggers errors on dash screens.

This has happened to me. It registered a code "p1717. I noticed that the car was shifting and driving a slightly differently.I came to realize it was my gas cap not being screwed on tightly.Once I squared that away and restarted the car it all went away. This may be what you are experiencing. You can start with this and see if it works.
