RL Exclusive Meet Theory
RL Exclusive Meet Theory
Interestingly enough I have witnessed alot of modded RLs popping up. I say RL owners on the east coast have a mega RL exclusive meet. Any ideas can be thrown around.
First Idea:
We meet somewhere along the eastern seaboard.
Sorry Western RL owners...I really was not reffering to you guys in this thread

going to be a pretty small meet...
I went to a buffet style place in LI after the meet with Lex and 3 other guys.
The hostess asked me and my wife on two separate consecutive (3 minutes apart) occasions if we wanted a table for 2 and we had to explain we're waiting for table for 6...

oh yeah...some sponsors and race insurance. If we get that...I wanna do it!
It's nice to see that the RL brings out such....umm...friendliness.
Yeah, I'm talking to you, Blazing.
If the S2000 guys can manage to do the Dragon at least once a year ("Wake the Dragon"), I'm sure you guys can put something together. Maybe Honda/Acura can sponsor. I did the Dragon in my S2000 two years ago and it was fun.

I haven't seen any modded RL's in Manhattan. I was actually behind a 2009+ black RL yesterday, stock.
Probably the same one I've seen a few weeks ago. This isn't the best price range for modders.
When they trickle down to used we should see a few more. Like 3-5 more

As for the members who've abandoned ship... I got my RL used. For every seller, there's been a buyer, right? Surely we haven't had that many totals yet.
Quick question off subject... A-Spec suspension - what does it offer and what is the average price of upgrading (parts plus labor = $$$?)... Thanks bud!
2010 finished the year with 2.037 units sold, for approximately 44,200 sold since introduced in 2005...this is US sales based on Honda numbers...44200 is approximate because they did not distinguish between 1G and 2G RL sales in 2004 and 2005
I always wanted to take my S2000 for that drive but never got a chance to since I picked track days and ax over driving hundreds of mile but it seems like it would be a lot of fun and I am sure I can get family involved as a "vacation trip" and end up on the dragon
I know it's hard to see a lot of people mod RL because cars are rare, ricers don't buy them because there are no ebay parts for this car and the list goes on. I'd love to do the dragon in my RL. I am also tempted to at least ax it once to see how SH-AWD works

To RL015, the most affordable way to add the A-Spec suspension is to go through eBay. There's an Acura dealer that sells it, fully warranteed, for $590. Then get bids locally on installation from either the local dealer or an independent garage you trust.
Labor varies wildly from one Acura dealer to another, BTW. My local garage charged me about $300. A local dealer wanted to hit me almost twice that.
