Replacing Sub woofer!!

So my sub is blown and i want to replace it on my own. I called the Dealer and they said Parts and Labor would total up to $550. Uh..... no thanx. I'm almost tempted to just put this Alpine Type R in my trunk and call it a day. But since thats to powerful and it would probably screw up the ANC in the car i would rather just buy a new sub and put it in my car myself. My main question is how easy is it to remove the back seat. When i called the dealer they said that is the only way to replace the sub. So i am wondering if anyone has moved the back seat on their own or have maybe a slight idea on if their is an easier way to replace the sub.

Thanx in advance.

Why not call up a junkyard or check Ebay? The wiring may not be compatible with an aftermarket sub and the resistance of the Bose sub and an aftermarket sub could be very different. I'd stick to OEM just because you are using an OEM amplifier.

I recognize and appreciate the aftermarket stuff is wayyyy better (I used to compete in car audio and I hate Bose) so I understand where you are coming from, but this is a complicated car and I'd be careful in changing stuff out.

I should have been a little more clear my apologies. I do plan on buying an OEM sub i just dont want to drop 550 into just the sub that seems like a bit much, but i guess thats what you should expect in a luxury car like this. I have thought about a junk yard but i dont think we have any in this area that will have any Acura RL parts.
