My 05 RL doom lights need replacing, do anyone know how to take the cover off without breaking it...

 

There is a slot on either side closest to the sun roof (away from the windshield) that you can put a small flat head screwdriver in and pull out

 

It took me like a half hour to take out and install new dome light bulbs. Only a midget could fit their tiny little hands to pull those bulbs out.

 

Use the flat head screwdriver to pry the bulb out at the base.

 

You need a bulb extractor which is a piece of tubing 6 inches long.
This tubing is clear and stocks at Home Depot. Diameter of tubing will be slightly smaller than bulb.
Press the tubing over the bulb and the pull.

 

bulb extractor?! I've never heard it called that


a piece of scotch tape will work fine as well
