replacing battery connectors

Has anyone ran into the battery connectors going bad and needing to be replaced? My battery is getting corroded and I have only had it less than a year. The positive terminal has green stuff all around it and on top of that the fans don't seem to be responding like they should. Randomly my fans will stop working and the engine will start to overheat and when I push the positive terminal down then the fans start working like they should and the problem goes away. Any ideas? This seems to be new to everyone I ask.

Yes, you will need to clean up the positive terminal and tighten it down properly. Your radiator fan control unit is powered through that fuse inside the positive battery connector pack. If the corrosion is bad enough, you may need to replace the terminals or positive battery cable. Either way, go to your auto parts store and get some of those battery terminal pads to keep it from happening again.
