Replacing 50A battery fuse contraption

Hi - The 50A battery fuse contraption that supplies the radiator fan relay needs to be replaced on my 2006 RL.
Question: Can this be replaced with generic in-line fuse type cable, or is there some good reason to replace it with the Honda/Acura part - which appears to be overly elaborate to me. On my car it only serves the radiator fan relay. There is nothing else connected to it.

Follow up question - If I should replace the OEM part, is it only available from the dealers?

Thanks everyone!
