I am sure this has been answered, but I was unable to find searching the forum. Most ebay links are old.
2006 RL Fog light is broken and needs to be replaced. Is there an aftermarket OEM equivalent, that mounts in the bumper original mounts? HID would be preferred, or can the bulb be switched to an HID with the OEM wiring, or does a ballast need to be used, or is there a HID like halogen bulb?

I know that for fog warmer/yellow color is preferred, but I kinda like the matching cool blue of the lights, and my fogs are on 24/7 with the DRL.

Yes, you can take it down and have some glass cut that will fit nicely. I would also recommend adding some protection to the front of the fogs as it will happen again.

 

I probably need more than just the glass. I filled a crack with epoxy about 2 yrs ago. It finally gave way and water seeped in and rusted the inside. It probably needs to be replaced. I was hoping to find a ready aftermarket unit that is HID like and mounts to the OEM holes/brackets. I have had no luck finding anything on the web. Hoped to have heard from members who might have done this.

 

i ran into the same problem i have yet to find a good replacement so im just gonna bite the bullet and buy an oem for 120 as sad as it is
