Remotes on Ebay

I've seen some new remotes for sale on ebay. The picture shows them without the key part. I'd like to get an extra one for my car and this looks like a cheap way of doing it. Questions: Is it possible to buy the key alone? Can they be programmed easily?

I am sure it won't be too difficult to program - I will check the helm manual shortly for that to see if I can find it. As far as the key part http://www.acuraparts247.com/prddisp...All&vinsrch=no

The diagram seems to indicate that you can get the key seperately; however, I cannot find the page which shows the physical key price.

Stealing my remotes from ebay are you?

Remotes on Ebay

If you find the instructions to pairing the remotes on ebay, please forward them to me. I just leased a 2006 RL and the dealer somehow messed up remote #1 and although I can use the remote to unlock and lock the doors, I cannot use the keyless entry through the doorhandle, and I cannot start the engine without inserting the the key into the dash. I can, however, use remote #2 with all functions. I am 90 miles from the dealer and am giong to wait until Dec 28 when I have to be in the area to get them to fix it. But if you guys find instructions, maybe I can forego the wait.

Thanks!

Doug

I *think* the dealer will have to do the programming. The helm manual (for those of you who have it, section 22-618) says you must "connect the HDS to the data link connector"

So, I assume you need some sort of external device to connect to the car in order to program the key. Not pos. though. Perhaps call your dealer and find out from the service department.
