They have the same sensitivity, your test must have been flawed, all testing shows this, and I have had both units and find them the same.
Arrows are great, but if you drive a lot in a city the V1 false alarms will kill you or give your carpel tunnel on your wrist from hitting the mute all the time.

I stopped using my detector Cordless Solo a few years ago...haven't had a ticket since, and I'm not driving any different than I did other than I'm more alert.

Detectors made me lazy.

I lied, just remembered I got a ticket in rural South Dakota in a rental car while on vacation in June. $90, NO POINTS. I was definitely over the limit (55MPH, cop said I was at 72, wrote me for 65.) and had the cruise on in the middle of nowhere, yakking with my G/F and hadn't seen another car for the last 20 minutes. The cop was barely out of diapers and looked just like Opie Taylor. Good guy, and was just doing his job.

I went back and sat in the cruiser(Dodge Charger) with COLOR video. After he ascertained I wasn't smuggling drugs he relaxed and we has a nice talk. He gave me the boilerplate coptalk that detectors are useless, and can tell what people have them(automatic ticket, BTW) even the "hidden" ones.

I turned off the volume of my V1 years ago and use it purely on sight. Takes a little getting used to but you will love it trust me. Hardwiring it was easy.

Why would you turn it off?

Becasue it can be annoying. Drives my wife nuts on trips. I don't even need the volume anymore the V1 is in my line of sight and I am used to it now. No tickets in three years since I bought it and I average 85-90 on freeway. Just got back from the floods in Louisville for two days for work and 5 hour drive each way, V1 saved me multiple times.
