This is probably not news but...
...did you know that even though we don't have push button start, all you need to do is twist the key "thingy" and let it go and the car will start. In other words, you don't have to hold it in the cranking position for the it start it will do it on its own. Sort of like pushing a button. Did I explain that right??
Yes, one twist and the engine will crank until it starts. Gets you spoiled with all the other cars that don't do that. Also, the car will on occasion recalibrate itself, and may crank up to five seconds before starting. I have never experienced that, but it is in the feature guide.
I guess this is old news.

Thanks for sharing your discovery Treblig.
So true. When I get in anyone else's car I am so confused now... I've been known to sit there with the keys in my pocket and try and start the car...or I put the key in and just quickly "bump" the starter, which in most fuel-injected cars, means it won't start, and then after that it usually takes 10-15 seconds of cranking after a "bump" just to get it to start....
Yeah. Definitely spoiled.
Even when I get a loaner car for service (which is usually an RDX or a TL) I can never start the thing right the first time!

Ahh, memories. I remember doing it in my Dad's car for the first time, too... parked in the Pine Barrens, late one July night....
Oh, wait, you're not talking about that....
