Poor RL :(

But you know, even with all its damage, it still looks better without the ugly front grille, imo. Bet it would cost a ton to fix. Damaged everywhere.

Well, the damage is mostly in the front and rear crumple zones. It looks like it was the meat in a car sandwich during its accident. If there's no frame rail damage, this car is fixable to near-factory condition.

This car is completely repairable but the cost is enormous. Probably 15K plus. Its not the damage, its the price of the parts that will kill you. Dash, steering wheel, CMBS, Hood, trunk, etc,etc just the parts will run 15K. There is a reason why the insurance company totalled it. It is worth more for salvage than fixing it!

There is no reason for the side bags to go off since it was a front/rear impact.

this is the exact same car I was looking at.... that could have been mine:P for my upgrade project:P.... that car was sold for $12500 when I offered 10k.... I wonder who is the sucker that's gonna pay $21900 for it.... even with complete restoration (oem parts and everything) it won't cost $15k on parts.... the parts should be around $4k at most.... I've checked.... plus most of the parts on 09 is backward compatible.... you can put in the previous 2nd gen RL parts.... if I were to fix this car, I would make it look like the pre 09 2nd gen RL....

Pay $12.5K for it, pay around $5k on parts. In total spending under $20K for the highest trim 09 RL with only 1K miles on it...hell I'd do it if I could. As long as it doesn't have frame damage, like the seller states. I would keep it as my personal car. I'm fine with a Rebuilt title.

but the seller is trying to sell that thing for $21K+..... with 4-5k for parts, another 4k for labor to fix/paint.... that's 30K+ already.... the seller should've fix up the car...... with $21k+ they are selling.... they should've fix up the car already ($12K + fix)..... I just think the seller is out to get some unlucky fool to fork over 8 grand to them...... I guess anyone who read this should know..... DON'T BE A SUCKER!!!!!

As bad as anything, is that it is a Salvage title.

I find it RIDICULOUS they want $21,000 "Buy it now".

Honestly, with the salvage title, (and the damage the IS visible on ebay) I wouldnt pay more than 4-5,000.

You'll NEVER get rid of that salvage stigma, and the hidden damage can be HUGE. Yea. The frame isnt bent. The tire photos look like the frame is "askew".

I hope they arent looking for someone to fix and re title/VIN it as no damage.

This is a great parts car. Just keep it that way.

21K?!?!? I just cant get over that.

Hmmm...I'm going to an affair at the Philmont Country Club, right near where they are tomorrow evening. Perhaps I'll stop in and offer them $13,000. A quick $500 profit!

I don't like the styling of the new RL at all BUT, if I had my own shop I'd be inclined to pick this one up.
