plastic piece running horizontally under bumper..

I was washing my car this weekend and I got down under the front bumper, and there is this plastic piece that hangs down about 1.5 inches and runs horizontally all the way across. I sprayed it and the paint came off.. I am thinking that this piece is supposed to be black, or is it painted? I had my front bumper painted, so either it was painted and it should not have been or it was painted incorrectly.

My car is silver. Can someone look under the car and see if that piece is painted or is black. I suspect it is black cuz the paint came right off it, like it was not supposed to be there, with very little pressure. If you face the front of the car and look right under the bumper you will see this small piece hanging down. I think it is like a mud guard.. not sure..thanks,

That undershroud is black plastic. You washed off the overspray that never really bonded properly.

Hey, that counts as "restoration"!

That air dam is supposed to be black. Mine is....except when it's covered by salt from the road.
